Each year Cannock Chase Council recognises the achievement of young people within the District by awarding the Youth Endeavour Award. This award provides local communities with the opportunity to recognise and reward some of the positive achievements and contributions that are made by our Young People. Youngsters with hearts of gold should be recognised and encouraged because they hold the key to the future.
We are contacting local organisations, schools, and community groups to ask if you have a young person(s), between the ages of 11 and 18 years old, who live in Cannock Chase District and has stood out from the rest by making an outstanding contribution to their community, their school, an organisation or has battled bravery against illness or disability, who you would like to nominate for the annual Youth Endeavour Award.
The winner of the award will be presented by the Chairman of the Council with a cheque for £50 together with a trophy, at the Council’s AGM on Wednesday 25th May 2016 at 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber. The trophy is then retained by the winner until the Council’s next AGM in May 2017.
If you have a person(s) whom you or your organisation would like to nominate and who you believe is worthy of this prestigious award, please complete the attached nomination form and return by 18th May 2016. The Chairman of the Council, Councillor Maureen Freeman, will then consider each nomination on their individual merits and choose a winner for this year’s award.
