Love Where You Live - Environmental School Project

Environmental Project

'Love Where You Live' is a national campaign led by Keep Britain Tidy. It aims to inspire, encourage and enable people to make where they live, work, and visit, the kind of place they really want to be.

The purpose of this campaign is to increase community involvement/recognition and encourage residents to take part in positive participation whilst instilling civic pride back into their communities.

When the local community take pride in where they live, they are more likely to take the time to maintain their area, reducing anti-social and criminal behaviour.

Cannock Chase Council developed a local version of this campaign in 2012 and has been delivering a number of projects across the District including 'Love Your Street' and 'Love Your Block'.

This has now been adapted to provide an environmental resource pack for local schools.

This initiative has been designed to focus on some elements of the Eco-Schools Programme in response to requests from the head teachers of local high schools. It will raise awareness of environmental issues including littering and anti-social behaviour
