Hednesford Neighbourhood Plan (Regulation 16) Consultation
Hednesford Town Council has prepared a Neighbourhood Plan which has been submitted to Cannock Chase Council. We are consulting on this and invite your comments. The consultation period runs for 6 weeks from 12th February-26th March 2018.
The Neighbourhood Plan contains a number of policies for guiding the future development of the Hednesford Neighbourhood Area (the Hednesford Town Parish area). After this consultation the plan has to be sent to an independent examiner who will take account of all information submitted including comments made at this stage. If the examiner finds the plan meets the relevant statutory tests then it can proceed to a referendum which is where the community in the Parish get to vote on whether they want the plan to be adopted by Cannock Chase Council. If the majority votes in favour of the plan then it can be used to help determine planning applications in the area.
