The Annual Report 2016/17 is part of the Council’s performance reporting, collating and illustrating the major events, service delivery and financial information for the financial year in a publicly accessible, user friendly format. Key information regarding major projects and service demand are presented under sections for each of the Council’s priorities, namely:
- Better jobs and skills
- Better health outcomes
- Cleaner and safer environments
- More and better housing
A summary of financial information regarding the Council’s General Fund and the Housing Revenue Account is set out, including a summary of the major areas of capital expenditure for the year. In addition, the Annual Report also sets out the significant sums of investment in the District during the financial year, including funding secured from the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership, the Heritage Lottery Fund, the West Midlands Combined Authority and others. In total this investment totals over £13million during 2016/17.
