Support & Development
The shared, supportive environment of SmartShare and SmartSteps projects gives the residents the experience of living with others and helps them to build confidence and self-esteem.
The aim is to help their residents prepare to live successful indenpendant lives and achieve their personal objectives.
Each resident is assigned a support officer, who will work closely with them to identify their individual support needs. They then provide appropriate support, whether it be through developing life skills, support with addiction or help to rebuild and strenghten relationships.
The support team have developed strong links with other support agencies to which clients can be referred to ensure that they receive all the support that they need.
Learning & Skill Building
As well as housing and support the scheme offers a wide range of activities and learning opportunities to everyone who uses the service.
There are different training and skill-building sessions available throughout the year. People can take part in arts and crafts, woodworking, cycling, gardening and much more.
These opportunities are a key part of the overall support provided by Derventio. If you are interested in applying for the scheme please contact the Housing Options Team on 01543 462621
